What really happened at Reimer Camping??

Fire of course...
Visiting...People really looked happy to be there, something is wrong with my camera!!
Okay, so atleast Auntie Shirley and I were having fun!
Walking was an awesome way to warm up a bit...
Enjoying nature was nice too...

Saturday we went to the Hecla Village to explore...
Uncle Klaas, Uncle Dave and dad all "dressed for the weather".
Stopping to visiting while "touring" the town...
Mom, Uncle Dave, Aunt Shirley, Aunt Anne and Uncle Klaas.
A close up of a Dandelion...atleast it looked happy to be alive.
The Hecla store...Mom and Uncle Klaas walking inside...
Back at the campsite...enjoying the warmth of the fire...
The "favourite" chair...Uncle Dave's chair. (this was his first time camping... EVER!!! I don't think this chair had even been used before...and if it was, it wasn't while camping.)
Sharing some kisses...
Uncle Dave, Dan, Uncle Klaas and Nolan watching the pot of water boil. Good times!!
Sunset...
The rocky beach near our campsites...
More sunset...

Dan watching the beautiful sun disappearing...taking it all in.
That's me, enjoying a walk on the beach.
"Monique" - crafted by Nolan and Dayna.
"The sun is gone to bed and so must I" - Sound Of Music.
This was on my earlier morning walk...to the Marina! Bet you couldn't guess.
I "caught" a picture of the wave just coming in...a real closeup.
The dock...Look at that peaceful morning.
Hecla Marina...
The sparkling water...the morning sun was so beautiful, too bad all the others were still asleep.
The highlight of the weekend was the "big" swim. Not many participants but the ones who made it were enjoying all the space the beach had to offer. Much encouragement from the dock as well.
The weekend is over...everyone is heading home.

Reimer Camping...all about the Food!

Friday night, Dan and I arrived a little later than the rest so we missed the supper rush. We ate when we got there. The menu was farmer sausage burgers...yummy.

The next morning breakfast was supplied by Auntie Shirley and Uncle Dave. We had yummy pancakes with Maple Syrup...that they made and some bacon.

For lunch we had a "disco". I had never had one so I was quite amused. Here is a picture of Uncle Vern preparing the meat for cooking...
Uncle Vern takes a sip, while Nolan presents the cooked meat filling.
Uncle Klaas, Dan and my dad are enjoying their lunch.
For supper we had "surf and turf". Below are some fish; not likely the ones we ate but it could be. And we had pickeral cheeks and...
of course FARMS FRESH STEAKS! Look at those huge chunks of spiced meat!
This specific piece of equipment was an important part of camping this year. Nolan and Uncle Vern used it to heat water for hot chocolate, tea and apple cider. For supper, Nolan made fries to go with the "Surf and Turf". Then on Sunday morning we all had the opportunity to make "baggie" omelets.
This was a fox who certainly was not shy. He came right through the campsite for a visit and to grab some supper. We fed him steak...he really loved us. I was walking from our campsite to Uncle Dave and Auntie Shirley's one evening. I saw the fox and called for him to come with me. He followed me all the way...
Here are the fries that Nolan made...they were great!
And the steaks being cooked...on the fire is best!
After supper, everyone flossed their teeth...Mom's got stuck so Nolan and I to do an on-site "emergency surgery" to get the floss and pick out.
Of course it's not real camping without pie irons...we also had smores one night.
Opps, these are a little out of order but here is a picture Auntie Martha's omelet before it was cooked.
This is a picture of many omelets cooking at once.
And last but not least...we had Hotdog and Smokies with Auntie Shirley and Uncle Dave's special roasting sticks!
